*About The Belmont:*
The Belmont has been operating in the heart of Old Ottawa South for over ten years, dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for its guests. We are a scratch kitchen using quality ingredients, sourced locally where possible.
*Role Overview:*
Belmont is in search of skilled and enthusiastic Line Cooks to contribute to our kitchen environment. The ideal candidates will be passionate about creating memorable dining experiences, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and be dedicated to excellence in executing their duties.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*1. Food Preparation & Cooking:*
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistent food quality and timely execution of orders during service periods.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimise waste.
*2. Station Management:*
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of assigned stations, including equipment and work areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the kitchen team regarding ingredient needs.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of stations before and after service.
*3. Team Collaboration:*
- Collaborate effectively with the culinary team to coordinate orders and maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to ensure guest satisfaction.
*Qualifications:*
- 2 years experience as a restaurant Line Cook.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Up to date Food Handling Certificate
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
